OBITUARY - 1981
Dr. Christian Mayenschein of Janesville passed away suddenly June 25 (1981) at Mercy Hospital. He was a well-known podiatrist at Janesville for over 49 years. He was married to the former Clara Wood of this area.
He is survived by his wife, Clara; one daughter, Mrs. DeEtte Massey and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at the First Lutheran Church at Janesvile.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wehman and Jim, Mrs. Paula Tessmer and Tanner, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Finger, Mr. and Mrs. James C. Barret, Mrs. Alice Koca, all of New Lisbon and Mrs. Agnes Ristow and Mrs. Myrtle Johnson of Elroy attended the funeral of Dr. Christian Mayenschein in Janesville on Monday.

MARRIAGE - 1929
Miss Clara Wood Married In Chicago
Miss Clara Wood was married to Dr. Christian F. Mayenschein in Chicago on Sept. 1, 1929 by the Rev. J. Jesperson. A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Wood on Sunday evening of last week at which time many relatives and friends were present. The newlyweds received many beautiful and useful gifts.
The bride is a graduate of the New Lisbon high school, class of 1922, and of the Wisconsin Business University, La Crosse.
The groom is a graduate of the Hillsboro high school and is completing his studies this year at the Von Schill Memorial College of Chiropody and Pedic Surgery in Chicago. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mayenschein of Hillsboro. The happy couple will make their home in Chicago.
