Föräldrar: Ole Olsen Oppsal och Helge Johannesdatter Uvaas
Ole, along with his wife and some of the children, including Johannes and his wife, emigrated in 1848 aboard the ship "Lolland." The ship arrived in New York on August 14, 1848 from Larvik with 128 passengers. The captain of the ship was N. Nielsen. They went to Muskego Township, Waukesha Co., Wisconsin; moving in 1854 to Lincoln Township, Winneshiek Co., Iowa where he remained until he died.
